Retreat Application Information
To apply for the retreat, please complete all of the following steps:
Step 1: Read the Retreat Information (Section 1).
Step 2a: Either complete and submit the online application form including the photograph (see below)
Step 2b: Download the application form (see below) and once completed send it with a passport-sized digital photograph to email@example.com
Step 3: Once your application has been approved, the Registration Office will contact you to confirm your registration and arrange for payment.
Step 4: Once you have registered, you will receive two additional forms to complete and bring with you to the retreat.

Meals and Accommodation
Please note that the accommodation fee is for seven nights’ accommodation at Trigonos. Arrival is on Saturday 4th August and departure on Saturday 11th August.
Bedrooms are either en-suite or with shared bathroom facilities.
There are a limited number of single rooms in both categories.
Accommodation includes three vegetarian meals a day, beginning with the evening meal on the arrival day and ending with breakfast on the departure day. Hot drinks, refreshments and fruit are available during breaks
You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your application within three days of our receiving it.
The Registration Office will contact you (by phone or e-mail) within three weeks to inform you of the result of your application.
If accepted, the Registration Office will confirm your registration and arrange for payment.
You have the option of paying in full or making a deposit – £240 for adults or £90 for young adults. The full fee must be paid at least 3 weeks before the start of the retreat.
If you cancel more than 3 weeks prior to the event, you will be refunded 100% of the accommodation fee and 90% of the event fee. A 10% fee is withheld for processing costs.
If you cancel within 3 weeks of the event, you will be refunded 50% of the accommodation fee. There will be no refund for the event fee.
If special circumstances require you to cancel within 3 weeks of the event, please contact the Retreat Team to discuss whether a refund may be issued.
The SYDA Foundation is not responsible for and no refund will be given for travel costs, including airline tickets or other payments or penalties that may be incurred as a result of any cancellations or changes to this event. Registrants may wish to purchase travel insurance to cover any cancellation fees associated with airfare or other non-refundable expenses if an event is cancelled.
The schedule of the retreat begins each day at 5:00am and ends by 7:00pm. It involves extended sessions of spiritual practice: meditation, chanting, seva, hatha yoga and sessions of in-depth study, contemplation and exploration of one’s inner experiences.
You need good health and stamina to follow the retreat schedule; therefore, it is important to consider the status of your health before applying. An established programme of exercise is a good foundation for participation in the retreat.
The retreat is not suitable for people with conditions that may affect their ability to engage in the practices, including for example:
- Chronic fatigue syndrome
- Mental or emotional instability including but not limited to bipolar disorder, manic depression, schizophrenia, psychosis, panic attacks, or severe anxiety
- Chronic draining wounds

The SYDA Foundation reserves the right to deny participation in any and all events for any reason, at its sole discretion.
